The ITTF Foundation and Table Tennis Connections have collaborated to create the NeuroPong™ Handbook, a resource designed to raise awareness about the health benefits of table tennis for individuals affected by neurodegenerative conditions. With growing global interest in using table tennis to slow down or improve the progression of symptoms, the handbook provides comprehensive scientific knowledge and practical guidance on how the sport can enhance the quality of life. #TTCanChangeLives
The NeuroPong™ Handbook provides essential knowledge for coaching table tennis to individuals living with neurodegenerative conditions. In an easy and conversational manner, the book explains the brain's nervous system and the characteristics of Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's, and Dementia, all important backgrounds to know when coaching people with these conditions. Its multimedia format provides a complete video collection of specific warm-up exercises and basic table tennis skills. It also tells the personal journeys of people who have participated in the NeuroPong™ programme. The aim of the Handbook is to promote and maintain health and build communities.
