World Parkinson's Table Tennis Championships

After a successful event in 2021, the World Parkinson's Table Tennis Championships return in 2023 as part of the World Table Tennis For Health Festival!

All matches will be officiated by ITTF Umpires, and relax zones are available for athletes between matches. Competition will take place over four days, following are some important documents, including Draws, details for Men's and Women's matches.

2019 ITTF Parkinson's World Table Tennis Championships

Objectives:

  • Present table tennis as a part of a sustainable healthy lifestyle
  • Use table tennis events to increase the awareness of possibilities for people with a disease

International recognitions:

  • 2019: Finalist at the Sports Business Award in the category "Best Community Scheme"
  • 2020: Bronze at the Sports Business Award in the category "Best Sports Governing Body Initiative"

Contribution to the Global Goals

Target 3.4 By 2030, reduce by one third premature mortality from non-communicable diseases through prevention and treatment and promote mental health and well-being.
