Are there tensions between diverse groups in your community? Are there constant frictions between neighbours in your building?
World Table Tennis Day (WTTD) is celebrated annually on April 6 since 2015, also marking the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace. It is the day we celebrate table tennis, as well as the universality and social inclusiveness the sport represents.
In line with the biennial celebration of the 50th anniversary of Ping Pong Diplomacy, WTTD 2022 focuses on using table tennis for peace-making and conflict resolutions. Sparked by the original event in the Japanese city of Nagoya in 1971, WTTD 2022 seeks to create friendships and build bridges between conflicted parties on both, the state and grassroots level.
World Table Tennis Day 2022 supports the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs):

I am from Nepal . In Nepal there are several caste, creed ,religion etc people . The most common communities are Newar , Gurung, Tamang, Khetriya , Bawan ,Limbu etc .They are having their own beliefs and tradition . I am in Kathmandu city attached with Lalitpur and bhaktpur district . My plan is to conduct a one week table tennis program which will include a total of around 100 players in which atleast 5 to 10 players of different tradition , religion , caste , creed etc . I belief that during this training program the players are going to understand each other’s tradition , behavior ,custom etc. It will definitely develop the mutual cordial relation with each other, exchanging of feelings etc . It will create to develop team work , leadership quality and harmony among the players . The players are going to come with their parents and definitely exchanging of views, bonding and communication among them too. When around 100 players play , train and practice with each other there would be an environment of coordination and develop relation between each other . At the end of my program I am planning to conduct a tournament between players . The program will be covered by the print and electronic media of Nepal .
