Table tennis has proven its positive influence on slowing down the symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease and reducing a relapse of cancer. But what does this look like from the perspective of one of the beneficiaries of the Table Tennis Alzheimer’s project, supported by the Dream Building Fund?
The world is still suffering due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Through the #TableTennisUnited campaign, we are reaching out to the table tennis community who need a helping hand in these challenging times.
Today, we celebrate and spotlight our environment! Why? Because the environment provides all of us with the vital human demands demonstrating the interdependence of humans and nature. Today, we should be reminded to treat the environment like we want to be treated – like a very close friend.
More than two months after the suspension of all ITTF activities due to the Covid-19 pandemic, some countries and regions have shown a decrease in the number of infected people, and governments eased their restrictions. Therefore, ITTF has listed recommendations based on the World Health Organization’s advice to guide and assist all members of the table tennis family to return to an adapted, regular training.
Once again, our work is internationally recognized: We are very grateful to announce that last week Sport Business Awards released this year’s nominees and the ITTF Foundation is shortlisted in two categories.
Through the Table Building project we chose to address, head on, one of the major issues: access to material. By offering a sustainable solution for equipment, we ensure our partners in the field to have dignity, are autonomous and feel ownership of the project and equipment that they build. What better way to start a project?
