French player Carole Grundisch has faced gender inequality in many instances in her athletic career. In light of Zero Discrimination Day, celebrated annually on 1 March, we want to share the story about a woman that never let anything hold her back.
A known face and name in the Parkinson’s movement and table tennis community, many people know the Danish player for her bright and bubbly personality. Her commitment and relentless optimism are contagious. But the diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease has not always been a source of motivation and force – it even made her put down her paddle once. Elisabeth “Lizzi” Ildal told us how she picked it up again.
An incidence rate of 89 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants, the Coronavirus pandemic reached a peak last December in Croatia. Adding to the crisis, the central part of the south eastern European country was hit by a series of devasting earthquakes. A humanitarian disaster, lives were lost, buildings and infrastructure destroyed.

Our second official year kept us on our toes. Looking back, we have two conflicting feelings: On one hand, we had many projects that were forced to shut down for a determined period of time. On the other hand, we had to adapt and managed to be flexible, innovative and supportive. And we can be proud. Not only because we were able to help people in need, but because it was accomplished together thanks to your help.
