World Table Tennis Day 2026 Open Call for Promoters
The ITTF Foundation is now calling for applications for World Table Tennis Day 2026 Promoters! (click here to apply)
As we previously announced, World Table Tennis Day 2026 (and 2027) will be dedicated to Health & Well-Being. This theme pays tribute to a core commitment of the ITTF Foundation of using table tennis to improve lives, while building on the momentum of TT4Health Programme and World Table Tennis for Health Festival, central initiatives which demonstrate the power of table tennis to foster happier and healthier communities across the globe.
What is a WTTD Promoter?
The responsibility of WTTD Promoters exists beyond wearing a name badge with a symbolic title. Becoming a promoter means becoming an active leader in supporting physical activity, enhancing mental health, and strengthening social bonds. Promoters are flagbearers for WTTD and use their voice and community position to capture the transformative power of table tennis.
Since 2021,157 Promoters have stepped up across 5 continents and 55 countries & territories to impact the lives of more than 30,000 people.

Each 23 April, the Foundation welcomes the world to unite and celebrate the cross-cultural impact of table tennis. Whether you are a coach, athlete, volunteer, or just someone who believes in the power of sports to bring people together — this is for you! In 2026, we are particularly looking for those who want to use Table Tennis to achieve Health and Wellbeing goals. We are searching for passionate people ready to make a difference.
If you are:
- Eager to organise fun and meaningful activities around table tennis in your community AND
- Ready to network globally and connect with like-minded changemakers
Then APPLY NOW to become one of the World Table Tennis Day 2026 Promoters! Applications are open from 23 October to 23 November 2025!

With Health & Well-being as the theme for WTTD 2026, alongside other community projects, we are particularly keen to see health spaces — such as care homes, hospitals, youth centres, and rehabilitation centres — hosting and showcasing table tennis’ role in supporting health, well-being, and recovery.

About World Table Tennis Day
Since the first edition in 2015, World Table Tennis Day (WTTD) has become a global celebration of friendship, inclusiveness, and the pure joy of play. Each 23 April, in honor of Ivor Montagu, ITTF Founder, this day highlights fun and participation over competition, emphasising the power of sport as more than just a game – it’s about using table tennis to break barriers and bring people together!
