World Table Tennis Day 2025 Promoters Announced!
The ITTF Foundation is thrilled to unveil the 30 Promoters selected for World Table Tennis Day (WTTD) 2025! Representing 27 countries and territories across all 5 continents, these passionate individuals will play a pivotal role in uniting communities and sharing the joy of table tennis on 23 April!
This year, the WTTD Promoters initiative received the highest-ever 160 applications worldwide! We are excited to see this overwhelming response, highlighting the growing global enthusiasm for getting involved in and resonating the shared love for the sport with the world and leveraging table tennis for sustainable and community development.
Fifth edition of the WTTD Promoters initiative
Since its inception in 2021, the WTTD Promoters initiative has been a cornerstone of the annual celebration, integrating the dedication to sustainable development and community-driven projects with the festivities of World Table Tennis Day. Each year, this initiative evolves to amplify its impact. In 2025, we continue championing Diversity and Inclusion as our core theme.
The selected Promoters embody a rich spectrum of cultural, social, and professional backgrounds, representing all walks of life. This year’s group includes 17 males, 11 females, 1 non-binary individual, 1 who prefers not to say, and 4 with physical and/or intellectual disabilities. Together, they demonstrate the universal appeal and inclusivity of table tennis, showcasing its power to bring people together regardless of gender identities, abilities, or any circumstances.
Empowering Promoters for Global Impact
With the support of the ITTF Foundation, the 30 Promoters will have the tools and resources to make their projects a success. This includes financial assistance, capacity-building resources, and personalised guidance to align their initiatives with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the theme of Diversity and Inclusion.
By fostering collaboration and integrating sustainability into their celebrations, these Promoters aim to elevate the global festivities to a new height, uniting more people than ever before on 23 April 2025!
