With just four months to go until World Table Tennis Day 2026, the call to register your event is officially open! On 23 April 2026, join a global celebration under the new theme Health & Well-being and showcase how table tennis supports healthier, more inclusive communities around the world.
Earlier this year, we announced the theme for the next two editions of World Table Tennis Day: Health & Well-being. Table tennis has remarkable therapeutic benefits — strengthening bodies, uplifting minds, and creating healthier communities, while supporting overall well-being across all ages and abilities.
In 2025, an incredible 845 WTTD events took place across 146 countries and territories and a record-high 67 ITTF Member Associations joined to demonstrate the sport’s ability to unite people, build connections, and create joyful shared experiences.
In 2026, with the renewed focus on Health & Well-being, we invite organisers to use this opportunity to highlight the essential role table tennis plays in improving everyday wellness. Events are highly encouraged to connect their celebrations to health and well-being by showcasing how table tennis promotes:
- Physical activity and active lifestyles
- Mental health and emotional well-being
- Social cohesion and community connection
Activities can also raise awareness around:
- Neurodegenerative disease prevention and healthy ageing
- Gender equality and health
- The importance of balanced nutrition
Together, these elements highlight how table tennis contributes to healthier, more resilient, and more inclusive communities.
The 2026 theme also strongly resonates with the #TTMovesYou campaign — a reminder that no matter your background or experience, we are all connected through the energising, therapeutic, and motivating power of table tennis.
