Parkinson’s Showcase Event Concludes with Finals and Award Ceremony in Helsingborg
The first-ever Parkinson’s Showcase Event concluded today with an exciting finals day and a heart-warming award ceremony, celebrating the achievements of players who demonstrated skill and resilience.
Organised alongside the ITTF European Para Table Tennis Championships and just ahead of the 2025 World Table Tennis for Health Festival, the Showcase Event created an inclusive international competition platform for players with Parkinson’s. Over two days of play, the players highlighted not only their passion but also the role of table tennis in strengthening health, confidence, and social engagement.

Women’s Singles
- 1st place: Janice Fuller (ENG)
- 2nd place: Elizabeth Ildal (DEN)
- 3rd place: Eva-Lena Jansson (SWE) & Vilborg Jónsdóttir (ISL)

Men’s Singles
- 1st place: LIU Shengping (CHN)
- 2nd place: HAHN Frank (GER)
- 3rd place: SJÖSTEDT Jorgen (SWE) & CARSON Brian (SCO)

The celebration continues immediately in Helsingborg as the 2025 World Table Tennis for Health Festival opens on 26 November. The week will unite players with Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s, coaches, health professionals, caregivers, and partners in a dynamic program dedicated to sport, learning, exchange, and community.
