Happy World Table Tennis Day 2022

Celebrating the 8h edition of the World Table Tennis Day today, our Promoters and worldwide organisers have put together a total of 226 physical events across five continents. In addition, the ITTF Foundation is bringing you a 24-hour of exciting online events to make April 6th 2022 a day to remember.

As most of the world slowly recovers from Covid-19, the worldwide table tennis community could not wait to get out there and enjoy our favourite sport together. In line with the biennial celebration of the 50th anniversary of Ping Pong Diplomacy, World Table Tennis Day 2022 focuses on using table tennis for peace-making and conflict resolutions. 226 events across 82 countries and territories have come together, inviting you to a day of actions and celebration of solidarity and peace, whoever you are, wherever you are.

24-hour online stream

Having had great success with the WTTD 2021 stream last year, we are inviting the worldwide table tennis community to join our WTTD 2022 online celebration on April 6.

The 24-hour online stream has something for everyone. Our interactive live events include expert talks with table tennis celebrity Adam Bobrow, Meet & Greet session featuring star players Kanak Jha, Lin Gaoyuan and Wang Manyu, as well as Panel Discussions focusing on using table tennis for peace, reducing unconscious bias and promoting equality.

Check out how our Promoters and Member Associations use table tennis to ease tension between conflicted groups, re-watch historical matches featuring the Unified Korea team and inform yourself about dealing with refugees and discrimination...  these are just a few things we have for you in our World Table Tennis Day 2022 celebrations!

Promoters and organisers help bring #PeaceOnTheTable

Celebrating the 50th anniversary of Ping Pong Diplomacy, WTTD 2022 shines the light on the power of table tennis to build friendships, create dialogue and make peace both the states and grassroots levels.

Thanks to the support of our dedicated Promoters, local ITTF Member Associations and organisers, all 226 events aim to demonstrate the power of table tennis in peace-making and conflict resolution between individuals or various groups in the community.

Upload your photos and videos to show the worldwide table tennis community how your event helps bring #PeaceOnTheTable.
