Capacity Building Session with WTTD 2023 Promoters

Think Sustainably, Act now!

234 - 23 April - This way, you will never forget the World Table Tennis Day!

The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Foundation has selected 35 new promoters to promote World Table Tennis Day 2023. These promoters will receive guidance, toolkits, and certificates, as well as financial support, to help them organize their own World Table Tennis Day initiatives on April 23, 2023. These initiatives will address various issues in their communities and spread social values through table tennis.

The new promoters were selected from 29 countries across five continents and were balanced in terms of gender and diversity. They are playing a vital role in promoting table tennis as a tool for social development and inclusion, and the ITTF Foundation is committed to supporting their efforts.

Recently, the new promoters participated in their first Capacity Building session, hosted by Saurabh Mishra and Mayssa Bsaibes. The session focused on sustainability and best practices for using table tennis as a tool for social development and inclusion. The promoters shared their experiences, ideas, and challenges, and the session was considered a huge success.

"I'm grateful to be part of this initiative, and I'm excited to use table tennis to address important issues in my community," said one of the new promoters. "The Capacity Building session was very informative and gave me a lot of ideas for my World Table Tennis Day initiative."

The ITTF Foundation's World Table Tennis Day celebration aims to promote table tennis as a sport for all, regardless of age, gender, or ability. The celebration also encourages the use of table tennis to promote social development, inclusion, and environmental sustainability.

"We are delighted to have such a diverse group of new promoters for World Table Tennis Day 2023," said Leandro Olvech, ITTF Foundation Director. "We believe that table tennis can play a vital role in promoting social development and inclusion, and we are committed to supporting our promoters in their efforts to make a positive impact in their communities."

The ITTF Foundation's World Table Tennis Day celebration has been growing in popularity each year, and the 2023 celebration promises to be the biggest one yet. Stay tuned to the ITTF Foundation's platforms to learn more about the new promoters and their World Table Tennis Day initiatives.
