Call for Proposals: Crafting the Powerful Health & Well-Being Handbook

Following the announcement of Health & Well-Being as the ITTF Foundation’s central theme for 2026–2027, we are excited to take the first step in this journey: the creation of a Health & Well-Being Handbook.

This global resource will be designed to inspire, guide, and empower everyone to use table tennis as a tool for healthier, more active, and more inclusive living. To bring this vision to life, the ITTF Foundation is inviting proposals from experienced consultants.

About the Handbook

The Health & Well-Being Handbook will be launched in two phases:

  • Phase 1 (January 2026): A foundational edition providing evidence, guidelines, and inspiration to support the global celebration of World Table Tennis Day 2026
  • Phase 2 (August 2026): An expanded edition featuring real-world case studies, stories, and practical applications from World Table Tennis Day 2026, building momentum and leaving a legacy for World Table Tennis Day 2027.

Project Overview

Health and Well-Being are universal human rights and essential for building resilient, inclusive communities. Through this handbook, the ITTF Foundation seeks to:

  • Highlight the health benefits of table tennis: From physical activity and mental well-being to social inclusion and disease prevention.
  • Provide practical tools and exercises that can be implemented during World Table Tennis Day 2026 & 2027, and beyond.
  • Build a living legacy resource which will grow over time with global best practices and real-life stories of impact.

The handbook will serve ITTF Member Associations, Continental Federations, World Table Tennis Day Promoters, organisers, coaches, clubs, and sport for development actors worldwide.

Scope of Work

The selected consultant will be responsible for:

  • Phase 1 (September 2025 – January 2026): Research, drafting, consultation with stakeholders, and production of a designed handbook for launch in January 2026.
  • Phase 2 (April – September 2026): Collection of case studies from World Table Tennis Day 2026, integration into the handbook, and delivery of an expanded edition by August 2026.

A detailed timeline, jointly agreed upon by the ITTF Foundation and the selected consultant, including draft submissions, reviews, and graphic design cycles, will guide the process.
