With the #TableTennisUnited Fund, donors worldwide and the ITTF Group are sending help where it is needed the most. Thanks to the generosity of Shanghai Double Happiness (DHS), 11 initiatives around the world have received the emergency support they need to get through the COVID-19 hardship.
An incidence rate of 89 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants, the Coronavirus pandemic reached a peak last December in Croatia. Adding to the crisis, the central part of the south eastern European country was hit by a series of devasting earthquakes. A humanitarian disaster, lives were lost, buildings and infrastructure destroyed.

Another couple of months have passed by – unfortunately Covid-19 has not. On the contrary, it drastically increases again. Luckily, 56 donors have already joined our campaign with compassion and commitment. Hence, we were able to assist almost 40 individuals and initiatives and the support of many more is in progress.
We are thrilled to announce that Sport Business Awards released the nominees for the Coronavirus Innovation Awards last week, the ITTF Foundation is a finalist in two categories.
Earlier this year, another hero made a generous in-kind donation to us: Guangzhou Hefu Sports Equipment Co., Ltd donated 250.000 ITTF Foundation branded table tennis training balls.

We had the privilege of being the first of six online presentations in the build up to the 2020 ITTF General Annual Meeting. The video conference was successfully conducted on Monday 1st September from the Foundation's headquarters in Leipzig.
